Rules

Fishing begins at sunrise on Saturday, October 8, 2022. The official time will be announced on Friday evening at the Captain's meeting.

Guided and Non-Guided divisions may have up to four (4) anglers and one (1) guide or driver per boat. Individual (Non-Motorized Watercraft) divisions are free to fish kayak, jetty, pier, dock, and wade (no boat transportation allowed for wade anglers in the Non-Motorized Watercraft division).

Anyone with a U.S. Coast Guard Captain's License that has guided professionally in the last 5 years or anyone who is known to have been a guide in the previous 5 years may not fish in this tournament. This includes any land, wade, or jetty guides.

All federal, state and tournament rules will be abided by including a valid fishing license. All anglers are subject to a polygraph test.

Tournament Stringer (All 3 Divisions): Stringer consists of one (1) slot redfish (20"-28") and three (3) slot trout (17"-23"). NO OVERSIZE redfish or trout.

Fishing Boundaries: There are no bay boundary lines; however, the fishing area is restricted to the inshore waters of the bay and water to one nautical mile offshore of the beach and jetties.

Weigh In: Weigh-in is no earlier than 12:00 pm (noon) and your fish must be in the weigh-in line by 4:00 pm. Weigh Master will disqualify late entrees. No swapping of fish after a team member is in line for weigh-in. If Weigh Master determines a stringer or side pot fish is undersized, no swapping of that fish. Any under or oversized fish violating State or Federal law will be disqualified from the stringer or side pot categories. Each team or individual is still eligible for weigh-in or side pot entry without their disqualified fish. All fish entered into the tournament must be identified and separated prior to being brought to weigh-in tables.

Altering Fish: All fish submitted for weigh-in must be in a fresh edible condition. Frozen, thawed, spoiled, pale-filled, or altered (tail shaving) fish not in its natural state will be disqualified.

Ties: In the event of a tie for weight or length, the first team/angler to check in determines the winner. ALL decisions of Tournament Officials are final. NO APPEALS.

Prizes: Refer to the Cash Prizes tab for information.
